Our Mission

Highest Good's mission is simple: bring genuinely good Vietnamese coffee to Australia, roasted locally with care and sold with honesty about where it comes from.

Our Story

Highest Good started with a trip to Vietnam, and a friendship we never saw coming.

We've spent years travelling the world, tasting our way through different cultures. Vietnam was different. The flavours, the warmth of the people, the energy on every street corner stayed with us long after we flew home. Above all, there was the coffee: rich, bold and unforgettable, especially the beans grown in the Central Highlands. Along the way, we also discovered a country quietly falling in love with exceptional matcha.

On our last trip, we were there partly for work, meeting IT firms to find contractors for a few projects. After one of those meetings, we got talking with Huy. His family, he told us, came from the Central Highlands, from the same farming communities that grow the coffee we'd fallen for.

That conversation turned into dinners with Huy and his wife, long talks and a real friendship. Then one day Huy asked us something simple: would we help share what his community had to offer?

How could we say no?

That question became Highest Good. Today, our coffee comes from the Central Highlands, the same region Huy's family calls home. Our next step is to work directly with his community, so every bag carries their story all the way to your cup.

As we grow, we want those farming families to grow with us. That means fair prices, long-term relationships and supporting the kind of farming that keeps the land healthy, so the farms that grow your coffee today can still be thriving for their children and grandchildren.

We're here to bring exceptional Vietnamese coffee, matcha (coming soon) and more to Australia, while staying close to the people and places behind them.

Because good things should taste good. And they should do some good, too.

Come join us on the journey.

About Our Vietnamese Coffee

Vietnam is the world's second-largest coffee producer and, by far, its largest grower of Robusta — the bean that gives traditional Vietnamese coffee its signature strength, body, and low bitterness when done well.

Much of that Robusta comes from the Central Highlands: provinces like Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Lam Dong, where volcanic red-basalt soil, consistent rainfall, and elevation between roughly 500 and 1,600 metres create ideal growing conditions. Buon Ma Thuot, in Dak Lak Province, is widely regarded as the heartland of Vietnamese Robusta — it's the region most closely tied to the country's coffee identity.

Highest Good's coffee draws on this same growing region. We favour high-quality, low-defect Robusta lots — the kind that deliver dark chocolate, caramel, and earthy, woody notes with a full body and thick, lasting crema — alongside select Arabica for our smoother, milder blends.

What We Care About

FRESHNESS: Small-batch roasting locally in Australia, so every bag reflects a recent roast date.

HONESTY: Clear origin, bean type and roast information.
